Cyclohexyl Ketone is an industrial compound which is also known as Cyclohexanone. It is an organic compound which appears as a colourless liquid having a clay like scent. It is composed of six-carbon cyclic molecule with a ketonic functional group. It has a chemical formula C6H10O and a molecular weight of 98.14 grams per mol. This chemical is used as a raw material for the formation of caprolactam and adipic acid. Cyclohexyl Ketone is flammable hence it is advised to keep them away from fire or high temperature regions and are toxic if inhaled. It is soluble in alcohol, ether, ethanol and many other organic solvents.
